Dianna started painting in Carson City in 1992 with local instructor Tina Tyrrell. Although she did major in Art History at the University of Minnesota, she never ventured into the art studio and the world of brushes, oils, and canvas until retiring from the business world in 1987. “Creating a painting is a lot like working in the business world, however, as you are always problem-solving. Every canvas presents an entire set of problems to solve over color, texture, subject, etc. and every canvas is infinitely stimulating”
In 2000 Dianna started painting portraits, and now there is an endless number of subjects. For two years Dianna was the Northern Nevada representative to the National Portrait Society. She is currently a member of Nevada Artists Association and the Sierra Arts Association. She lives in Reno with her husband Roy.
