I hand form pure silver (.999) jewelry, fabricating pendants, brooches, earrings and bracelets. To create my pieces I start with precious metal clay and begin by molding the proposed design into shape. The piece is then dried to a “leather” consistency. I add hand crafted details to the dried piece by carving, filing, and sanding. The piece is then fired in a kiln. Often gem stones are fired directly in the metal. The fired piece is burnished, antiqued and otherwise worked to the desired finish. Then the product is adorned with appropriate chain, beads, pearls, cords, precious stones etc. to complete the effect.
I like my jewelry to appear as though it began in an earlier time and has been handed down for generations. The old world feeling of unique and much loved jewelry is what I strive to achieve.
