I have been an amateur photographer for about seven years. My inspiration has been the reactions of people outside my normal circle of friends. I mainly get asked to do portraits and family pictures, but I love doing a little bit of everything.

Mike has lived and worked in Carson City, Nv for twenty nine years. After his retirement two years ago, he became very serious about photography. He believes the photographs he takes are “discoveries” not creations, although he gets great pleasure from “re-creating” a “discovery” in Photoshop. His work can be seen at the Brewery Arts Center Gallery in Carson City.
Much of his subject matter has come from being active in the Carson City Guide Dogs program and more recently the Kids & Horses program. The wealth of subject matter as a volunteer photographer for these organizations has been invaluable, along with getting acquainted with some wonderful people.
Winning an award from the NAA has pushed Mike even farther into his work. Having made several friends at NAA, Mike has been asked to share his photographic style with one of the galleries prestigious oil painters. Life can not get any better, unless Mike could photograph that too!
