Maureen Farley of Minden Nevada has been involved in visual arts for as long as she can remember. She enjoys colored pencil drawing, acrylic painting, watercolors and photography.

Maureen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nevada in psychology with a minor in fine art.

Inspiration from the animals and scenery of the Great Basin and Sierra Nevada areas has led to numerous awards for painting and photography. Most notably her acrylic painting entitled “Lampe Park” received the prestigious Carson Valley Library Award.

She is an active member of the Colored Pencil Society of America as well as the Nevada and Carson Valley Artists Associations.

Her artwork is currently featured at the Nevada Artists Association King Street Gallery and the Young at Heart Gift Gallery in Gardnerville, Nevada.
